Return Postage
Customers are responsible for the cost and safe return of products when returning an item because they have changed their mind.
We recommend using a tracked and adequately insured delivery service. We cannot accept responsibility for returned products that are lost or damaged in transit.
If a product is faulty, damaged on arrival or supplied incorrectly, we will reimburse reasonable return-delivery costs where appropriate.
Online Cancellation Rights
UK consumers normally have the right to cancel an online order within 14 days of receiving it without giving a reason. After notifying us of cancellation, the customer then has a further 14 days to return the goods.
Where applicable, we will refund the standard outbound delivery charge. Any additional cost paid for an enhanced or expedited delivery service will not normally be refunded beyond the cost of standard delivery.
Customers may inspect a product as they would reasonably be able to do in a shop. We may make a reasonable deduction from the refund if a product has been used, damaged or handled beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and function.
These cancellation rights do not affect your statutory rights.
Diamond Blades Reported as Faulty
Diamond blades are specialist cutting products. Their performance and condition can be affected by installation, machinery, material, cooling, feed rate, operating technique and maintenance.
If you believe that a blade may be faulty, stop using it immediately. Never continue to use a blade that is cracked, deformed, damaged or has defective or missing segments.
Contact us before returning the blade. To help us assess the issue, we may request:
-
Clear photographs or video of the blade and the reported problem
-
The machine make and model
-
Details of how the blade was installed
-
The material being cut
-
Whether wet or dry cutting was used
-
Details of the water supply or cooling method
-
The approximate cutting distance completed
-
The operating speed and cutting method
-
Any other information reasonably required for a technical assessment
A manufacturing fault will commonly become apparent during the blade’s initial use. Early failure is therefore an important diagnostic indicator, but every reported fault will be considered on its individual circumstances.
A used blade reported as faulty may need to be returned for inspection before the appropriate remedy can be determined. Our inspection may consider whether the issue resulted from an inherent product fault or from factors such as:
-
Incorrect installation or an unsuitable bore, flange or machine
-
Use on an unsuitable material
-
Insufficient water flow or cooling
-
Incorrect operating speed or feed rate
-
Excessive pressure, twisting or side loading
-
Impact damage, dropping or poor storage
-
Failure to dress or maintain the blade where required
-
Continued use after damage or abnormal performance became apparent
-
Normal wear and tear
If an inherent manufacturing fault is confirmed, we will provide the appropriate repair, replacement or refund in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.
Damage caused by misuse, incorrect installation, unsuitable equipment, inadequate cooling, accidental damage, improper maintenance or normal wear and tear is not considered a manufacturing fault.
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your statutory rights concerning goods that are faulty, not as described or not fit for purpose.
Damaged, Incorrect or Missing Items
Please inspect your delivery as soon as reasonably possible.
If an item arrives damaged, incorrect or incomplete, contact us promptly at info@globaltilingalliance.co.uk with your order number and photographs of the product, packaging and delivery label where possible.
Do not use a product that appears damaged or unsafe.
Complimentary Accessory Packs
Where a complimentary accessory pack is supplied with a blade, all included items must be returned with the blade when the complete order is returned for a change-of-mind refund.
If complimentary items are missing, used or damaged, we may make a reasonable deduction from the refund to reflect their value where legally permitted.
Refunds
We will notify you after your return has been received and inspected.
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Banks and payment providers may require additional time to process the refund after it has been authorised.
For cancelled online orders, refunds will be processed within the timescales required by UK law. We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or the customer provides evidence that they have sent them back, whichever occurs first.
Exchanges
If you require a different product, please contact us. Depending on the circumstances, we may arrange an exchange or ask you to return the original item and place a new order.
